A new approach to healthcare is coming to South County Commons.
This summer, local nurse practitioner Kyle Wardle will open First Track Primary Care in Wakefield — a direct primary care practice designed to bring a more personal, patient-focused experience back to medicine.
Having spent most of his life in South County, Kyle has built both his career and his family here, caring for the very community he calls home. Through his experience in the traditional healthcare system, he saw firsthand the growing challenges patients face — longer wait times, shorter visits, and an increasing disconnect between providers and the people they serve.
First Track Primary Care was created as a response to that shift.
Operating under a Direct Primary Care (DPC) model, the practice removes many of the common barriers associated with traditional healthcare. Patients will have direct access to their provider, more time during visits, and a more personalized approach to care — without the complications of insurance-driven limitations.
To maintain this level of accessibility and attention, membership will be intentionally limited. This smaller patient panel allows for a more direct relationship between provider and patient, ensuring that care remains thoughtful, responsive, and individualized.
Pre-enrollment for First Track Primary Care is expected to begin in May 2026, with the practice opening later this summer at South County Commons.
As access to primary care continues to be a challenge for many, this new model offers an alternative designed to better serve the needs of the South County community.
