Heena Choi, DAOM
Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine
Following in the footsteps of her mother, Heena is a second generation Oriental Medicine Practitioner. She immigrated with her family from South Korea to the U.S. when she was a junior in high school. She graduated from the University of Maryland, and then went on to study the Master’s Program of Oriental Medicine at Emperor’s College in Santa Monica, CA. After graduating from the Master’s Program in 2006, she did an externship at the department of Oriental Medicine at Kyung Hee University General Hospital in South Korea.
Upon returning to the United States, Heena then started her own practice. At the same time, she worked for Virginia University of Integrative Medicine, VA as a clinic practitioner and supervisor. She treats patients with various conditions, from muscular pains to internal problems. She combines her knowledge of Western and Eastern medicine to help patients heal effectively. She now lives in South Kingstown with her husband, two children and an active dog.
