FREE Shred-It Day!
Join us Saturday, October 29th, 9Am-12PM for our first Shred-it event! One of the best ways to protect against identity theft is to shred older documents and materials. Put your mind at ease that your sensitive information is disposed of properly. Guests are welcome to bring a MAXIMUM OF 2 BOXES of materials and documents to be shredded. All paper products that may contain sensitive and personal information will be accepted, along with CDs, cassette tapes, floppy discs removed from their case, and DVDs. Documents with staples are also accepted, along with paper and binder clips. This is a FREE event for all that would like to participate.
Shred your documents and items and then take a stroll around the Commons for a coffee, gelato, lunch or cocktail at one of our 8 different restaurants! We also have some great new retail locations that you won’t want to miss!
FAQs
Are the Shred Days free?
Yes! There is no charge for this event.
Is there a limit to how many materials I bring to Shred-It Day?
Yes, in order to accommodate as many people as possible, we ask that you bring a maximum of two boxes of documents to shred. Please be prepared for staff to dump your documents into Shred-It bins, and then return your boxes back to you.
What should I bring to the Shred Day?
It is important to protect your personal information and destroy your confidential documents from time to time. We recommend you bring old bank statements, tax documents and any other old documents that contain your personal or financial information.
We can also accept DVDs, CDs, cassette tapes, and floppy discs that have been removed from their case. No items containing heavy metal are accepted – we CANNOT accept batteries, cell phones or hard drives.
Do I need to sort the papers or remove paper clips?
Nope! All you need to do is bring your documents in a box to the event. You don’t have to worry about removing paper clips, staples or binder clips. However please remove documents if they are in 3-ring binders.
How do I know my documents have been securely disposed of?
Shred-It’s state-of-the-art shedders use cross-cut shredding technology, which destroys your confidential materials into confetti-sized pieces, so they can never be reconstructed.
