Reflecting on 2024 and Looking Ahead to an Exciting 2025 at The Village at South County Commons
As we bid farewell to 2024, we are filled with gratitude for the incredible events, memorable moments, and community connections that have made this year so special at The Village at South County Commons. From vibrant summer evenings filled with music to family-friendly holiday celebrations, our Commons community continues to thrive as a hub for South County residents and visitors alike.
2024 in Review
This past year, we were thrilled to host our beloved Thursday Night Summer Concert Series, featuring the talented Narrow River Band and other incredible acts that brought families and friends together to enjoy live music under the summer skies. Our events created lasting memories and showcased the outstanding local talent that makes South County so unique.
Additionally, The Commons hosted a Free Movie Night with our friends at All South County Cinemas featuring The Wild Robot, selling out two of their theaters. This event was a resounding success, bringing families together for an unforgettable evening of entertainment.
Hundreds of local residents spent the day with us in December for our annual Breakfast with Santa event where we raised thousands of dollars worth of monetary and toy donations. The day was filled with so many activities from face painting and a caricature artist to a photo booth, balloon twisting and of course a visit from the big guy himself, Santa Claus. We hosted our famous raffle and danced to the fantastic holiday tunes from the Jesse Liam Band at Audrey’s Coffee House & Lounge. Santa wasn’t the only highlight though! We also welcomed Ana, Elsa and Olaf from Frozen AND our friends Minnie and Mickey Mouse all the way from Disney World! We started the morning with a delicious pancake breakfast with our friends at Applebee’s and then finished with an annual showing of the Polar Express. We are already starting to plan for next year…it’s going to be the best one yet!!
In addition to the concerts, Breakfast with Santa and our movie night, our local businesses flourished with activities such as paint nights, trivia nights, karaoke, craft events and watch parties. Each event offered an opportunity for our community to connect, unwind and support the amazing businesses that make The Commons so dynamic.
Looking Ahead to 2025
The excitement doesn’t stop here! We’re thrilled to announce the return of the Thursday Night Summer Concert Series in 2025, where we’ll welcome new musicians and talents to the stage. These concerts have become a cherished summer tradition, and we can’t wait to share more magical evenings with you.
We’re also gearing up for another heartwarming Breakfast with Santa event, benefiting Toys for Tots. This annual tradition continues to spread holiday cheer while supporting a wonderful cause, ensuring that every child experiences the joy of the season.
Building on the success of our 2024 Free Movie Night, we look forward to hosting another movie night with All South County Cinemas in 2025, and we are even exploring the possibility of adding more movie nights to our calendar.
In collaboration with our local businesses, The Commons will continue to be the go-to destination for exciting activities and promotions. Whether it’s a themed paint night, live music at one of our restaurants, trivia competitions, karaoke, or special restaurant promotions and deals, there’s always something happening at The Commons.
