Summer Concert Series, Free Movie Night & Family Fun Return to South County Commons
Summer is back at South County Commons, and so are some of our favorite community traditions.
From live music and family activities to a free movie night on the big screen at All South County Cinemas, South County Commons is gearing up for another season of summer fun with events designed for all ages. The annual Summer Concert Series returns on Thursday, July 2, while a special free movie event kicks off the season on Wednesday, June 24. Concerts will run every Thursday evening through August 20.
Free Movie Night – Troop Beverly Hills
Summer festivities begin on Wednesday, June 24, with a free showing of the beloved comedy Troop Beverly Hills at All South County Luxury Cinemas.
The family-friendly event begins at 6 p.m. and is free to attend. Guests are encouraged to reserve tickets in advance through the cinema website, as seating is limited. The movie follows the adventures of an unlikely troop leader de
termined to help her group succeed despite the odds, delivering plenty of laughs and nostalgic 1980s charm along the way.
Families, scout troops, and movie lovers of all ages are invited to attend. Guests who belong to a scouting organization are encouraged to dress in uniform or scout-inspired attire for a chance to win a family movie ticket package. Free parking is available throughout South County Commons.

Summer Concert Series Returns July 2 – Schedule now LIVE on our site
The sounds of summer return to the Commons beginning Thursday, July 2, when local favorite The Driftwoods take the stage from 6 to 8 p.m.
The free outdoor concert series will continue every Thursday evening through August 20, offering eight weeks of live entertainment, dancing, outdoor dining, and community gathering. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy an evening of music in the heart of South County. Concerts are free and open to the public.
The series concludes on August 20 with a performance by The Complaints, one of Rhode Island’s most popular party bands, closing out another memorable summer season.
Visitors can also take advantage of South County Commons’ restaurants, cafes, breweries, and specialty shops before or after each concert, making it the perfect destination for a summer evening out.
Family Fun Night – July 30
One of this summer’s featured events will take place during the July 30 concert when Audrey’s Coffee House & Lounge hosts a special Family Fun Night.
Families can enjoy free face painting, indoor and outdoor games, kid-friendly activities, food specials, and more while taking in the evening’s live music. Additional details will be announced in the coming weeks, but families should mark their calendars now for what promises to be one of the highlights of the season.
